Joint Base San Antonio Youth Programs is offering Winter Camp across all JBSA locations. Log into and select the preferred location. Once a slot is offered, parents must visit Youth Programs to complete the registration process. Fees are based on total family income and all required paperwork must be on file in advance to include immunization records with a current flu vaccination. Offers are made until camp is full. All JBSA Winter Camps are closed on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.

JBSA-Lackland Gateway Hills Golf patrons can take advantage of new special Sunday rates beginning Dec. 1. 2-for-1 green fees and cart off highest rate (civilians $47 and military E5 and above $39). Bingo News
Bingo takes place in the Ballroom every Monday through Thursday at 7 p.m., every Sunday at 3 p.m. Admission is free for members and $10 for nonmembers. Members have a chance to win the full jackpot and nonmembers a half jackpot.

First Steps is a non-competitive, instructional and development program for all DOD children ages 3-5. Register at JBSA-Lackland Youth Programs, building 8420 on Selfridge Ave., Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Registration cost is $35 per child. Parents must attend the orientation on Jan. 9, 6 p.m. at the Youth Programs' gym. The season runs Jan. 11 to Feb. 15. First Steps teaches fundamentals in harmony with the gross motor movements of preschool and early school-age children.

This American Red Cross Lifeguard certification class held at the Skylark Aquatic Center is open to everyone age 15 and older. Successful completion of the Certification in American Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid and Automated External Defibrillator is valid for the next two years at any facility worldwide that accepts Red Cross Lifeguarding. This class is 32 hours of instruction for $160.

Walk in a winter wonderland at JBSA-Lackland Amphitheater grounds with something for everyone. This year's event features three giant show slides to reduce lines and get you sliding.
